Prosopocoilus astacoides beetle

I photographed this beetle During my trip to in one of the rainforests of Amazon .. Cyclommatus is a genus of the Lucanidae family, also known as the stag beetle. The chief distinguishing characteristics of this genus are its impressive mandibles, which can sometimes be as long as its body, as well as its lustrous metallic exoskeleton, which can range from red, brown, green, purple, gold and a rarer blue-black. Male beetles of genus Cyclommatus are generally larger than females of the same species, and exhibit brighter and lustrous exoskeletons compared to females.

Bees and wasps

Bees and wasps I photographed it these bees and wasps in a number of different places in terms of environment, some have been photographed in tropical forests and others in a dry and cold environment .. In this project there are two species of carpenter bees And two species of wasps .. Wasps : are a diverse group, estimated at over a hundred thousand described species around the world, and a great many more as yet undescribed. A wasp is any insect of the order Hymenoptera and suborder Apocrita that is neither a bee nor an ant. The Apocrita have a common evolutionary ancestor and form a clade; wasps as a group do not form a clade, but are paraphyletic with respect to bees and ants. Bees : are flying insects closely related to wasps and ants, known for their role in pollination and, in the case of the best-known bee species, the western honey bee, for producing honey and beeswax. Bees are a monophyletic lineage within the superfamily Apoidea and are presently considered a clade, called Anthophila. There are over 16,000 known species of bees in seven recognized biological families.They are found on every continent except Antarctica, in every habitat on the planet that contains insect-pollinated flowering plants.
