Colors of Jute Yarns

Daily wage laborers are working in the small villages of West Bengal, India where they are involved in manual coloring the raw yarns spun out jute fibers. This is a totally manual process that involves drying of natural jute fiber & finally the coloring of Indian Traditional colorful yarns used for weaving sarees using different colored yarns in different patterns (Indian drapes for women) at village handloom weaving units.

Playfulness

The White Buck with several other chittals was spotted in wild. Being Albino is a disease in living things due to which they don’t get skin pigmentation. This frame was captured by me because the character of the young deers appealed to me . The young ones always seem to be cute due to their innocence, And hence i wanted to capture this image to bring out the beauty of the innocence in a character.

Rural reality

India as a country has a very diverse rural life. In these rural regions people have their own ways & means of coping up with day to day challenges of their daily livelihood & lifestyle. In this photograph I have tried to depict one of their most common challenges as a part of their daily need that is local commuting. As there is no Government transport available is these very small and tiny rural villages people have figured out their own means of transport that may sometime put a risk to their lives. But that's the bitter reality of these small rural villages.
