Wall's bronzeback tree snake with Catch

Commonly known as the Wall’s Bronzeback (Dendrelaphis cyanochloris), the species is mainly found in northeast India. They are also seen in the Andaman Islands. Being forest dwellers, they reside in lowland rainforests. Although designated as Least Concern by the IUCN Red List, conversion of forest land for agricultural purposes is a concern for local populations. It was a foggy December morning and the sun was rising. When I reached Lachit Ghat,the atmosphere was lively. The yellow orange hues scattered all around the east and blues were dominant on the other sides. I took out my camera from my bag and had a walk towards the river. I was heading towards those cold blues,then I had a momentary stop and turned towards east to feel the warmth of yellow. At that moment, I saw a person with heavy loads on his arms walking on the beach. He was heading towards the river. He was a local vegetable seller. He came there to wash his vegetables before selling them in the local market. If you ever visit this place early in the morning,you will see these hard working vegetable sellers coming and going one after another.

HIZOL TREE (BARRINGTONIA ACUTANGULA) A RARE MANGROVE FOUND IN SON BEEL. This beautiful shot was taken at Son Beel, Karimganj, Assam, India, which is the second largest seasonal wetland in Asia and the largest wetland in Assam. It is home to many Hizol trees (Barringtonia Acutangula) which offer an amazing view around the lake. The trees stand tall in both dry and wet seasons and are a point of attraction.
